Job Description
MobilityWorks is a leading provider committed to serving the disabled community by offering wheelchair-accessible vehicles, including minivans and full-size vans equipped with lifts, as well as commercial fleet vehicles. Dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for wheelchair users, MobilityWorks focuses on delivering mobility solutions that enable independence and personal freedom. As a company, MobilityWorks prides itself on a mission-driven approach that not only prioritizes customer needs but also fosters a supportive and inclusive work environment. With a strong emphasis on community engagement and accessibility, MobilityWorks stands at the forefront of the adaptive vehicle industry, continuously innovating to meet the needs of its diverse clientele.
The Business Manager role at MobilityWorks is a pivotal position responsible for supporting multiple departments within the store, including sales, marketing, service, and rental operations. This full-time position offers a rewarding work-life balance with regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, without the demands of late nights or weekend work, making it ideal for individuals seeking stability alongside professional growth. The Business Manager acts as a key facilitator ensuring smooth operations across departments by serving as the primary back-up when required. Responsibilities include assisting sales and service teams with documentation processes, managing vehicle delivery paperwork, tracking inventory, and facilitating customer service follow-ups. This role demands a highly organized and energetic individual who can effectively multitask and demonstrate leadership within a multifunctional team setting.
Further responsibilities include managing the title and registration process of vehicles, processing warranty registrations, handling business development center leads, and managing accounts receivable tasks such as deposits, reconciliations, and collection calls. The position also oversees monthly financial reconciliations, vendor and supplier relationships, and ensures adherence to company policies including OSHA and state regulations. The Business Manager is expected to travel occasionally to represent MobilityWorks at various events such as tradeshows and vendor trainings, some of which may occur on weekends. Additionally, this role supervises the vehicle rental department by scheduling rentals, training clients on adaptive equipment use, preparing contracts, and maintaining related paperwork. A strong understanding of the company’s products and services is essential, along with an ability to respond to customer inquiries in the absence of the General Manager or Certified Sales Consultant.
MobilityWorks values its employees as integral parts of the team and cultivates a work culture that recognizes and appreciates the contributions of every member. The company encourages veterans and diverse candidates to apply, reinforcing its commitment to inclusivity and employee development. The Business Manager position offers competitive salary plus bonus opportunities along with extensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance plans, flexible spending accounts, paid holidays, personal time off, tuition reimbursement, employee assistance programs, and a robust 401(k) retirement plan. Employees also benefit from a wellness program and employer-paid life and disability insurance, making this an attractive role for professionals seeking to join a mission-driven company that invests genuinely in its workforce.
