The role of the Vehicle Mover at Cox is a critical position that involves the safe and efficient handling of vehicles within the auction premises. The Vehicle Mover will be tasked with driving vehicles to and from auction lots and customer businesses, as well as navigating vehicles through auction sale lanes on designated sale days. The position operates on a fixed shift, Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and offers an hourly pay rate of $20.29. Additionally, there may be opportunities for additional compensation through commissions or incentive programs.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission
  • previous auction experience preferred
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to provide excellent customer service
  • strong attention to safety procedures
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner
  • drive vehicles to and from designated areas on auction premises and customer businesses while observing safety rules
  • line up and park vehicles in correct order as directed by supervisor
  • locate lost vehicles and move vehicles as necessary
  • assist with vehicle operation including inflating tires and jump starting
  • notify supervisor or relevant personnel of any vehicle issues
  • assist customers and coworkers as needed
  • follow all safety procedures and participate in safety activities
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
