Job Requirements
- ability to stand for extended periods (4-8+ hours) with periodic breaks
- perform repetitive motions including use of hands and arms for chopping, stirring, carrying, and operating equipment
- frequent bending, stooping, squatting, stretching, twisting, and reaching above eye level
- capability to walk stairs and use step ladders
- occasional sitting, talking, and active listening
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly using proper lifting techniques
- ability to move quickly and efficiently in the kitchen
- compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment
- exposure to varying temperatures including hot kitchen areas and cold storage
- use of personal protective equipment and awareness of safety hazards
- adaptability to indoor and outdoor work settings
- and awareness of potential workplace hazards such as hot surfaces, sharp objects, and wet floors
Job Qualifications
- at least 2 years of management experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry
- strong background in operations, staff management, and customer service
- experience in fast-casual or quick-service restaurants preferred
- proven leadership skills and ability to develop and motivate a team
- strong customer service and communication skills
- financial acumen in managing budgets and controlling costs
- problem-solving skills and ability to analyze operational issues
- organizational skills and attention to detail especially regarding food quality and safety standards
Job Duties
- oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence
- assist the restaurant manager with team leadership and staff development
- maintain quality control of food and service standards
- manage financial performance including budgeting and cost control
- create a safe, clean, and efficient environment for guests and team members
- resolve customer complaints and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction
- ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
