We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pantry Cook to join the culinary team at Ruth's Chris Steak House. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of the kitchen by expertly preparing cold dishes such as salads, appetizers, desserts, and garnishes. As a Pantry Cook, you will be responsible for following standardized recipes and plating guides to ensure consistency, accuracy, and impeccable presentation on every plate.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, handle, carry food, smallwares, equipment, supplies and paper goods at a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to four hours in length
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors, employees, vendors and guests
  • Must be able to taste to distinguish between and among flavors, spices, temperatures, mouth feel and smell
  • Background check required

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ year of pantry or cold-side kitchen experience preferred, fine dining experience a plus
  • Strong knife skills and attention to presentation details
  • Ability to follow recipes and plating instructions with accuracy
  • Organized, clean, and efficient work habits
  • Dependable, team-focused attitude with a passion for food
