Job Description

Panera Bread is a prominent bakery-cafe chain known for its commitment to quality, community, and customer satisfaction. With a reputation for serving fresh, delicious food made from clean and wholesome ingredients, Panera has grown into a trusted name in the fast-casual dining sector. The company takes pride in fostering a positive work environment where every team member is valued and encouraged to develop their skills and advance their careers. Known for its strong focus on employee well-being, Panera provides a supportive culture that emphasizes growth, inclusion, and mutual respect. As a leader in the food service industry, Panera offers a welcoming atmosphere for guests to enjoy a variety of freshly prepared salads, sandwiches, soups, and bakery items crafted with care and attention to quality.

Joining Panera as a Salad and Sandwich Maker means becoming an essential part of a team dedicated to delivering exceptional food and warm customer service. This role is ideal for individuals who appreciate working with real ingredients and enjoy the satisfaction of preparing fresh food in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. As a Retail Team Member, you will be responsible for assembling a diverse range of menu items including fresh salads, plated soups, and made-to-order sandwiches. Unlike fast-food assembly lines, this position focuses on craftsmanship and precision, ensuring every order is made quickly, accurately, and consistently.

Panera not only values food quality but also prioritizes the experience of each guest by encouraging team members to maintain a positive attitude and deliver friendly service at all times. The company supports a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust, empowering team members to learn, grow, and contribute to a positive workplace. This role involves timely completion of cleaning and stocking duties to maintain an organized environment and prepare the team for success in subsequent shifts.

The Salon and Sandwich Maker role offers flexible scheduling, with opportunities to work nights and weekends, making it suitable for those seeking adaptable work hours. Panera also provides competitive pay, ranging from $15.92 to $19.00 per hour, and offers an extensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and pet insurance, 401(k) with match, paid vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay for eligible full-time employees. Additional perks include free on-shift meals, unlimited fountain beverages, tuition discounts, career advancement opportunities, and a team member assistance program. Panera truly strives to create an enjoyable and rewarding workplace where employees feel appreciated and motivated to succeed every day.
