The Salad and Sandwich Maker position at Panera Bread is designed for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role focuses on preparing and assembling fresh salads, sandwiches, and soups using real ingredients to create meals that make a positive impression on guests. Unlike fast-food assembly lines, this position emphasizes quality and consistency, ensuring that customers receive fresh, delicious food every time they visit. The job offers competitive pay ranging between $20 and $23 per hour, depending on experience and location, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
As a Salad and Sandwich Maker, you will be an essential part of the retail team, playing a direct role in creating an exceptional dining experience. Responsibilities include timely assembly of menu items while maintaining speed and accuracy, adherence to food safety standards including proper handling and cleanliness, and engaging positively with customers to provide friendly, warm service. You'll also contribute to keeping the workspace organized and well-stocked, setting the stage for smooth operation across shifts.
Panera emphasizes a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust, encouraging team members to support each other while embracing the company's guiding values. The role requires adaptability, a positive attitude, and a willingness to meet daily priorities even during busy or challenging periods. Flexible scheduling options are part of the employment terms, including availability for nights and weekends, making it suitable for students or those seeking part-time or full-time work.
Aside from the competitive pay, team members at Panera enjoy various perks such as free on-shift meals, unlimited fountain beverages, paid vacation and holidays (for full-time employees), and access to medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance. There are also opportunities for career advancement, leadership development, tuition discounts, and participation in team member assistance programs.
