Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 1 to 2 years of previous restaurant kitchen experience required
  • 3 to 5 years of experience preferred
  • Ability to successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings, holidays, and weekends
  • Must possess basic computational ability
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English

Job Duties

  • Assist in planning, preparation, and production of all food items according to recipe and presentation standards
  • Prepare food items to order following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits
  • Prep assigned station items ensuring freshness and proper labeling
  • Manage kitchen team members including training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Assist with food purchasing duties including ordering, storage, and inventory
  • Control costs by reviewing portion control and minimizing waste
  • Inspect kitchen for food quality, cleanliness, and team member appearance
  • Create a positive team atmosphere promoting accountability and high standards
  • Promote cooperative effort, team spirit, and good morale among team members
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by enforcing sanitation standards
  • Help with other team members' duties when necessary due to absences or extra volume
  • Adhere to and enforce all applicable local, state, and federal laws
  • Perform other duties as assigned
