The role available is for a Food Service Cook at Saint Annes Hospital. This position plays a critical part in the hospital’s food service operations by preparing and storing both hot and cold food items for the cafeteria, patient meals, special functions, and external programs. The Food Service Cook must adhere strictly to established food safety protocols and maintain excellent sanitation standards in the production area. Responsibilities include preparing recipes in precise quantities and ensuring food quality to maximize patient and customer satisfaction. Shift hours vary and typically include early mornings and day shifts, such as 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The role requires knowledge of quantity food cooking principles and vigilance in monitoring food temperatures to assure safety and quality.

The position demands an individual who not only can handle food preparation but also actively participates in meetings and continuously strives to improve food quality through evaluation of taste, appearance, and texture.
