Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
- CHST, ASP or CHST designation
- minimum of 7-10 years of safety experience in the construction industry
- OSHA 30-hr construction safety training
- ability to travel regionally as needed
Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
- CHST, ASP or CHST designation
- minimum of 7-10 years of safety experience in the construction industry
- experience with bridge, rail, and tunnel projects preferred
- minimum of seven years of experience as an EH&S inspector in the Water Supply or Wastewater Sector
- OSHA 30-hr construction safety training
- OSHA 500 outreach trainer preferred
- experience working with transit systems, subway rail systems, or other regional railroads preferred
Job Duties
- provide division support regarding strategic planning, program development and enforcement, safety staff resourcing and safety budget's needs
- apply STV's policies, procedures and work practices to promote the company and project safety and health program and administer assigned functions to aid in this overall responsibility
- monitor compliance with mandatory safety, health and environmental regulatory laws, standards and codes
- monitor and audit the programmatic elements of STV's HSE management system
- participate in the investigation of injuries, conditions, and incidents that involve actual or potential liability and maintain records and compile required reports
- support program evaluation and improvement efforts
- develop and initiate safety and health procedures with project managers and engineering team members
- work collaboratively with other safety team members throughout the organization
- provide safety training and monitor compliance with STV's training curriculum and site-specific and client requirements
- monitor and attend contractors' pre-construction and project-related meetings
- perform other duties as assigned
- ability to travel regionally as needed
