Job Duties
- support the branch staff to evaluate their safety program develop corrective action plans and carry out follow-up action plans
- evaluate status of progress toward meeting safety program objectives and initiate appropriate actions
- assist the region at all levels with preparation and delivery of formal and informal safety training to Herc Rentals employees and customers at customer locations
- motivate and develop field personnel to sustain Herc Rentals' safety programs across scope of operation
- support operations management's commitment to corporate social responsibility and expected performance of program
- manage and communicate regulatory agency inspections or site visits to senior leadership
- conduct and coordinate annual location safety evaluations prepare detailed reports assist location management with action plan development and conduct follow-up actions until complete
- evaluate and conduct employee incident investigations and corrective actions
- liaise as necessary with other internal departments or external organizations and relevant authorities and provide assistance and cooperation concerning audits and remedial actions
- assist in the safety requirements at location startups
- develop personal and professional skills and capability through ongoing training as provided by the company or elsewhere such as meetings conferences seminars as determined by the safety department
- undertake other projects as designated by direct supervisor
