Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in safety with a commercial general contractor
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in the Greater Austin Area
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to travel regularly to job sites

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of safety experience with a commercial general contractor
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish preferred
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to conduct thorough safety audits and inspections
  • Experience in developing and implementing safety programs
  • Proficient in reviewing and documenting safety reports
  • Strong leadership and teamwork abilities

Job Duties

  • Conduct employee and subcontractor safety-related meetings and presentations
  • Review all accident and incident investigation reports for completeness and accuracy
  • Publish lessons learned from near misses, accidents, and incidents
  • Oversee walk-through inspections at project sites with project personnel
  • provide technical guidance and expertise to project managers and superintendents
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of sites to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agency standards and company policies
  • Serve as primary contact and responsible for direct communication with OSHA and all safety regulatory agencies
  • Develop programs for monitoring subcontractor safety performance
  • Maintain regular job site attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
