Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years of safety management experience is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Transportation Management or related field
  • 3+ years of safety management experience in the transportation or construction industry, preferred
  • Prior ready mix experience in any capacity a plus
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations, especially FMCSA and DOT regulations required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to interpret and analyze data and trends
  • Must have a valid Arizona driver's license and a clean MVR
  • Ability to work outdoors, in all weather conditions, as needed
  • Ability to travel and work after hours as needed

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures including but not limited to our ready mix concrete batch plants, shop site, corporate, and various types of drivers and equipment operators
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks
  • Train and educate employees on safety protocols and regulations
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root cause and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations
  • Collaborate with all levels of management and other departments to ensure safety goals are met
