Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction engineering or related degree or equivalent work experience
- 10-20 years of general construction experience
- OSHA 30 hour training
- Licensed site safety manager in NYC
- Certified fire safety manager in NYC
- Holder of a 62-hour SST card
- At least 5 years of experience as a Site Safety Manager in NYC

Job Duties
- Implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA rules and regulations
- Monitor effectiveness of the safety management system and progress against the Structure Tone safety Performance Standards
- Lead and provide functional management for safety personnel
- Plan and implement programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials
- Inspect organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures and ensure implementation
- Ensure appropriate processes for promptly alerting the business and STO to significant accidents and incidents and lead investigations as needed
- Compile and submit accident reports required by regulatory agencies
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual safety management reports
- Review accident and incident reports to identify trends and ensure appropriate responses to prevent recurrence
- Regularly meet with safety personnel to monitor and review the management of the function
- Report on safety performance for the business unit at management meetings
- Consult and liaise with Corporate Safety Director on safety management in the division/business unit
