The Security Officer role is crucial in maintaining the safety and security of the property, guests, and employees. This position involves patrolling all areas of the property, monitoring safety systems such as Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems. The officer is responsible for locking property entrances as needed and conducting daily hazard inspections to ensure a safe environment. They play a key role in responding to emergencies, administering first aid or CPR when necessary, and coordinating with emergency medical services. The Security Officer is also tasked with managing incidents such as accidents, disturbances, and vehicle-related issues, documenting these occurrences through detailed reports. In addition, they must handle interruptions and complaints professionally, defuse conflicts, and escort unwelcome individuals from the premises without disrupting operations.

This role demands strong attention to detail, the ability to follow company policies rigorously, and maintain confidentiality related to security and loss prevention activities. The candidate must communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, and develop positive working relationships to support team goals. Physical demands include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, responding quickly to situations, and handling objects weighing up to 75 pounds with assistance. The successful candidate should exhibit a clean and professional appearance and may need to fulfill additional state licensing or registration requirements. This is an entry-level position that welcomes candidates with a high school diploma or GED equivalent, no prior related work or supervisory experience required.
