The Boeing 787 Interiors Certification Team within Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Safety and Airworthiness Support professional to join the Airplane Certification Project Management Team based in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role is integral to the 787 Interiors certification efforts, encompassing activities from the pre-airplane implementation stage through project completion and AC-E. The position is fast-paced, requiring effective project management skills to ensure certification tasks are executed properly and schedules are maintained. The successful candidate will interact with a broad network of teams including design engineering, support organizations, Cert Plan Owners, Engineering Unit Members, Safety and Airworthiness focal points, as well as the Enterprise Regulatory Administration.
Responsibilities include organizing and facilitating safety, regulatory, and airworthiness activities, interpreting safety data and trends, responding to inquiries from stakeholders, and identifying opportunities for process improvements using LEAN principles. The role demands excellent communication skills to convey technical and non-technical issues clearly to diverse audiences. The candidate must be adept at scheduling, delegating, planning, and multitasking while maintaining a high level of initiative and collaboration. The ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs and develop recovery plans is crucial for success in this dynamic environment. - Five plus years of experience in program or project management, leading projects of varying complexity including development and execution of schedule milestones, risk and/or issues management

- Effective communicator with ability to engage diverse perspectives and drive results
- Experience in aerospace and aerospace interiors
- Good problem solving skills and critical thinking

Job Duties
- Leads organizing, supporting, enhancing, and facilitating execution of safety, regulatory, and airworthiness activities, processes, and tools
- Provides input on cross-functional efforts to monitor, compile, and interpret global safety, regulatory, and airworthiness data, trends and activities in advance of applicable technical stakeholder review
- Reviews and coordinates responses to routine safety, regulatory, and airworthiness inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Retrieves, compiles, and reviews more complex certification and safety data for regulatory review
- Leads monitoring, tracking, and facilitating integration for safety, certification and regulatory processes and activities
- Leads compiling, retrieving, and summarizing materials and data for technical briefings, reviews, and correspondence
- Reviews complex documents, within documented guidance, for compliance with applicable requirements in advance of submission
- Identifies opportunities for improvement to safety and regulatory activities, processes, and tools
