Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three months experience in a similar role
- Ability to work AM or PM shifts including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills in English
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift, pull or push up to 35 pounds
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Certification in food and liquor service preferred
- Basic computer literacy
- Knowledge of local attractions
Job Qualifications
- Minimum three months experience in a similar position preferably with a luxury or ultra-luxury restaurant
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- Capability to prioritize, organize and follow-up
- Clear thinking and calm problem-solving using good judgment
- Ability to follow directions thoroughly
- Understanding of guest’s service needs
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
- Work with minimal supervision
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information
- Certification in liquor, wine and food service preferred
- Certification in alcoholic awareness programs
- Computer skills
- Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for restaurant clientele
- Fluent in English with other languages preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards
- Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements of work areas and equipment
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment
- use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely
- Make reservations for guests that call in advance to dine
- Record entries of the time and date the guest is expected to arrive
- Greet all guests and seat them according totheir preference
- Check if guests are seated comfortably and their server is present to take their order
- Ensure that guests have a good time and promptly address any complaints
- Ensure the restaurant is clean before opening and inspect for quality standards
- Coordinate with staff and management to ensure everything is in working order
- Engage and inquire if guests enjoyed the food and service
- Escort guests to the exit and ensure valet service is arranged
- Assist with reservation booking system and follow up on guests questions, preferences and special occasions
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
