Job Description
Blue Compass RV is a leading recreational vehicle dealership company based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, known as the fastest growing RV company in the United States. With over 100 dealerships nationwide, Blue Compass RV prides itself on delivering exceptional customer care and fostering a strong sense of community among its employees. The company is dedicated to creating a workplace environment where employees are valued like family, emphasizing comprehensive training, career development, and employee growth. The culture at Blue Compass RV promotes teamwork, reliability, and pride in workmanship, which supports its continued expansion and success within the RV industry.
The company is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the hybrid role of Detailer and Lot Porter. This unique position serves a critical function in maintaining the dealership's high operational standards and ensuring that the RVs are presented in optimal condition for prospective buyers. As a Detailer, you will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning and preparing RVs inside and out using tools such as vacuums, power washers, and polishing equipment. The goal is to achieve a showroom-ready finish that reflects the quality and professionalism of Blue Compass RV.
In the Lot Porter aspect of the role, you will be tasked with safely moving RVs around the lot or into service bays using forklifts or tow vehicles, helping to keep the dealership organized and customer-ready at all times. This involves vehicle staging, assisting with event setups, and conducting basic inspections to identify and report potential issues. The role requires a hands-on approach and offers on-the-job training, especially in operating power cleaning tools and forklifts, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in auto detailing, car washes, portering, or similar roles.
This position pays $18 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee well-being and career advancement. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, along with flexible spending accounts. Additional perks include paid time off, paid holidays, a 401(k) retirement plan, pet insurance, gas discounts, and various employee assistance programs. Blue Compass RV also provides training and development initiatives to help employees grow their skills and advance their careers in a supportive, team-focused environment.
Working at Blue Compass RV means joining a community that appreciates your hard work and dedication. The company fosters a culture that rewards effort and encourages a team-first attitude, offering a 5-day workweek and programs such as legal coverage, identity theft protection, and employee referral bonuses to make your career both rewarding and secure. This is more than just a job in detailing or porting—it’s a chance to be part of a family that invests in your future and helps you achieve your professional goals.
