Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern is a lively and inviting neighborhood tavern known for its fast and friendly service. The primary responsibility of the Host is to craft "raving fans" not only from guests but also associates, purveyors, partners, and the communities where the business operates. This position requires a professional who is both friendly and efficient, capable of managing seating arrangements to maximize guest satisfaction and optimize sales opportunities while maintaining excellent communication with both guests and the service team. The Host acts as the face of the restaurant, welcoming guests with warmth and enthusiasm both in person and over the phone. They control the flow of the dining room and work closely with management and co-workers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.

Job Duties
- Report to work on time as indicated on the work schedule
- Ensure uniform meets restaurant requirements and is maintained and cleaned
- Practice positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all work shifts
- Exemplify hospitality standards
- Answer guests' questions about the restaurant
- Handle requests and complaints with guest satisfaction as the priority
- Cooperate with management and co-workers to assist others with duties if needed
- Communicate suggestions for improvement in a positive fashion
- Follow all national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines
- Report potentially unsafe conditions and use materials and equipment properly
- Know emergency procedures in the restaurants
- Perform all duties and maintain knowledge of all standards and procedures stated in the associate handbook
- Control seating arrangements to assure quality of service, guest satisfaction, and maximize sales opportunities
- Welcome guests warmly both on the phone and in person
