The runner/expo position is essential for the success of our service flow. It involves more than just transporting plates from kitchen to table; it requires a sharp eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and an enthusiastic approach to guest interactions. You will play a crucial role in describing menu items to guests, taking special care to communicate the unique qualities of each dish, and responding promptly to guest requests to enhance their dining experience. Your responsibilities will include reading and accurately finishing food tickets, running plates or delegating tasks to team members, and ensuring that each dish meets presentation and quality standards before it reaches the guest. Additionally, you will assist both kitchen and service staff by maintaining a well-stocked and clean station, supporting side work duties during quieter times, and retrieving any additional items requested by guests. Your work will be integral to the coordination between servers and kitchen staff, making sure that all parties work in unison to deliver timely and satisfying service.
