The role of the runner/expo is a vital position within our restaurant operations. As the lynchpin between the kitchen and guests, the runner/expo ensures that the flow of dishes from the kitchen to the dining area is smooth and efficient. This role requires constant motion and multitasking abilities to make sure plates are finished in the kitchen and delivered promptly and accurately to guests. The runner/expo is responsible for describing the dishes being presented to guests, answering any questions they might have about the food, and handling or communicating any special requests or issues that arise during service. This requires a good understanding of the menu, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. The position demands a keen eye for detail to ensure orders are correct and presentations meet the restaurant's standards. Strong collaboration with kitchen staff and servers is essential to keep service seamless and guests happy. - Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
