Job Requirements

  • High school completion or equivalent education
  • One to three years food service experience preferred
  • Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification required
  • California RBS Certification
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, including freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F) for up to one hour or more
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours
  • Ability to maneuver between functions in limited spaces
  • Ability to lift trays weighing up to 30 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs frequently
  • Must possess good communication skills
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace
  • Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Regular attendance and punctuality according to company standards
  • Compliance with safety and operational policies of Azul Hospitality
  • Willingness to work varying schedules depending on resort business needs
  • Ability to attend all scheduled training sessions and meetings

Job Qualifications

  • High school completion or equivalent education
  • One to three years food service experience preferred
  • Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification required
  • California RBS Certification
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic computational ability
  • Knowledge of table and bar service
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
  • Ability to describe all menu items and methods of preparation
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate all equipment related to the outlet, including coffee maker and cash terminals
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations

Job Duties

  • Deliver food to guests dining in restaurant
  • Ensure guest satisfaction with their food
  • Ensure serve corridor safety by transporting all equipment in the proper manner
  • Replenishes guest water, makes and pours coffee
  • Clears tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware and silverware
  • Cleans tables, chairs and floor area
  • Resets table quickly
  • Restocks busing stations regularly polishing silverware, folding napkins, and stocking with china, glassware, ice and clearing trays
  • Assists service team as necessary to meet and exceed guest expectations
  • Be responsible for handling of all equipment and linens
  • Ensure that all spills and breakage are attended to immediately and proper safety procedures are followed
  • Responsible for the proper handling of all food and equipment
  • All other duties assigned by restaurant managers and supervisors
