Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality role is an advantage but not required
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • demonstrated ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • passion for food and customer service
  • availability to work weekends and holidays
  • reliable and punctual
  • physical ability to perform duties including standing bending lifting up to 45 pounds and repetitive hand and wrist motion

Job Duties

  • assist servers in delivering food to guests in a timely and accurate manner
  • clear tables and ensure that they are clean and ready for the next guest
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area including floors chairs and table settings
  • work collaboratively with all team members to ensure a smooth and efficient service
  • prepare dining room for patrons by cleaning and setting decorations condiments napkins service plates and utensils
  • adhere to sanitation and safety policies to protect establishment and patrons
  • maintain menu presentation by keeping menus clean and in good condition
  • remove courses as completed replenish utensils and be alert to patron spills or other special needs
  • support wait staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands trash container liners and bus stations
  • close dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables sweeping or vacuuming floors removing trash and recyclables
  • update job knowledge by participating in staff training
  • provide food to guests efficiently and accurately
  • anticipate guests needs and respond accordingly
  • communicate effectively and provide excellent guest service
  • handle stress in a fast-paced environment
  • multitask effectively
  • transfer food items to and from kitchen
