Job Description
UniFirst is a leading international company in the garment services industry, with a robust presence across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Known for delivering excellence to over 300,000 business customer locations, UniFirst stands strong with a team of more than 16,000 partners dedicated to providing high-quality garment rental services. The company has earned recognition on prestigious lists such as Selling Power magazine's "Best Companies to Sell For" and Forbes magazine's "Platinum 400 – Best Big Companies," reflecting its commitment to both customers and employees. UniFirst prides itself on a supportive and inclusive culture that fosters growth, stability, and a sense of community among its workforce.
The role of Route Service Representative (RSR) at UniFirst is a dynamic and customer-facing position that blends reliable service delivery with sales and relationship management. As an RSR, you become the face of UniFirst for your assigned customers, taking ownership of your route and developing lasting relationships through personalized, dependable service. This position requires a motivated individual who thrives in a field-based role, appreciates autonomy, and enjoys continuous interaction with customers. The RSR manages daily route operations, including timely delivery and pick-up of garments and products, while also identifying opportunities to grow accounts through upselling and superior customer service. Safety and professionalism are paramount as you operate a walk-in truck along established routes, supporting the service team's success through accurate and efficient loading and unloading.
The job encompasses more than just deliveries; it involves active engagement with clients to understand and meet their needs, troubleshooting issues, maintaining inventory, and adhering to safety standards. A predictable Monday through Friday daytime schedule ensures work-life balance without nights or weekend shifts, allowing the RSR to consistently build trust and reliability with their customer base. This role offers commissioned earnings from day one, providing strong incentives for sales growth connected directly to your route's expansion and enhanced customer satisfaction.
UniFirst offers comprehensive training through its Service Consultant Program (SCP) to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed. The company supports your career development with ongoing training, professional growth opportunities, and a rich company culture that values diversity and inclusion. Benefits extend beyond compensation to include 401(k) with company match, profit sharing, health and life insurance, paid time off, employee discounts, and tuition reimbursement. If you are ready to join a respected industry leader where your efforts directly impact customer satisfaction and business success, UniFirst’s Route Service Representative role represents an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career.
