The role of Service Technician at USS is essential and central to our operations. This full-time position includes operating a service truck to service, pump, and clean portable restrooms and holding tanks at various job sites. As a Service Technician, you will be the face of USS on customer locations, responsible not only for the physical maintenance duties but also for providing excellent customer service. This role requires flexibility, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety and efficient route planning. The position offers a competitive salary range of $18.56 to $25.06 per hour, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus paid out in installments over 12 months, specifically designed to reward new external hires. Job Requirements
- minimum two years of commercial driving experience
- valid driver license (CDL or non-commercial)
- ability to perform physical duties including lifting between 50 and 150 lbs.
- ability to work in varied physical postures such as sitting, standing, crouching, and kneeling
- ability to drive safely in compliance with DOT and USS standards
Job Qualifications
- minimum two years of commercial driving experience
- valid driver license (CDL or non-commercial)
- excellent time management, customer service and communication skills
- strong problem-solving and decision making skills
Job Duties
- perform basic service truck driving functions in accordance with USS and DOT requirements
- perform all work duties in a safe manner in accordance with USS and DOT safety standards to ensure no accidents or injuries
- perform duties by sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
- perform lifting/pushing between 50 and 150 lbs. on a frequent basis during work shift
- conduct portable toilets servicing to USS 8 point service standard
- perform customer service interaction when on customer work sites to ensure they are getting the services completed to their standard
- provide routing feedback to operations manager, supervisor, or coordinator to be most efficient and give the customer the best service possible
