With a deep wealth of industry expertise, an unwavering commitment to process excellence, and a strong sense of corporate responsibility, USS continually sets itself apart through the implementation of best-practice programs. These pillars collectively reinforce the company's value proposition, ensuring that clients receive reliable, professional, and high-standard service every time they work with USS.
USS's workforce is diverse and collaborative, consisting of field technicians, customer care representatives, sales professionals, and a variety of functional experts. Each team member plays a crucial role in maintaining the company's reputation for seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. At its core, USS emphasizes continual improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence, making it an excellent workplace for individuals who thrive in dynamic, customer-focused environments.
The Service Technician role is fundamental to USS’s business operations. These technicians operate company service trucks, traveling to multiple locations to service, pump, and clean portable restrooms and holding tanks. This role is integral to maintaining the sanitation standards clients expect and ensuring a positive on-site experience. The position offers a significant $2,000 sign-on bonus, distributed in four equal installments over 12 months for new hires, with $500 bonuses awarded every three months for external candidates.
In addition to handling service truck driving, technicians are responsible for adhering strictly to USS and Department of Transportation (DOT) safety requirements. This ensures a safe working environment with no accidents or injuries, which is paramount in this line of work. The duties involve physical activity, including sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, as well as frequently lifting or pushing weights ranging from 50 to 150 pounds during shifts. Service Technicians must meet the USS 8-point service standard for portable toilets and interact professionally and clearly with customers to guarantee services meet their expectations.
Flexibility and strategic thinking are crucial, as technicians must adjust their routes as needed to meet customer demands and provide routing feedback to supervisors and operations managers. By understanding and anticipating customer needs, they help ensure both current and future service requirements are satisfied, forging stronger client relationships.
USS offers competitive hourly wages in the range of $18.56 to $25.06, with pay determined based on geographical location, skills, experience, education, and certifications. The total compensation package also includes generous benefits for full-time employees working an average of 30 hours or more weekly, including paid time off, medical, dental, vision insurance, and retirement plans, among others. United Site Services’s commitment to equal employment opportunity and compliance with federal regulations ensures a supportive and inclusive work environment for all employees.
