Job Description
United Site Services (USS) is the leading provider in comprehensive site services across the United States, known for its commitment to customer success through quality service and strong partnerships. As an industry leader, USS provides essential solutions such as portable restroom rentals and servicing, temporary fencing, and holding tank management aimed at supporting construction projects, outdoor events, and various industrial applications. With a foundation built on deep industry expertise, excellence in process management, and a strong sense of corporate responsibility, USS ensures that every customer experience is seamless, reliable, and exceeds expectations. The company prides itself on an inclusive and diverse workforce comprising field technicians, customer care representatives, sales professionals, and operational experts. This diverse team is essential to achieving the company’s mission of delivering excellent service and maintaining high standards for safety, reliability, and innovation. Joining United Site Services means becoming part of a company that values continuous improvement, fosters teamwork, and pursues operational excellence in every activity it undertakes.
The Service Technician role at USS is a pivotal position that directly contributes to the company’s core business operations. This role involves operating a service truck to travel to various locations where portable restrooms and holding tanks require pumping, cleaning, and servicing. Service Technicians embody the heart of the company’s service offerings. This hands-on role requires strong adherence to safety standards set forth by both USS and the Department of Transportation (DOT), ensuring that all activities are performed safely to prevent accidents or injuries. The position is physically demanding, involving tasks such as sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and frequently lifting or pushing items weighing between 50 to 150 pounds. Beyond physical labor, Service Technicians serve as the face of the company to customers on-site, providing excellent customer service by ensuring that all work meets or exceeds the USS eight-point service standard.
Flexibility is crucial in this role, as Service Technicians must adjust their routes and schedules to meet dynamic customer needs efficiently. Collaborating with Operations Managers and Supervisors, these technicians provide valuable feedback to optimize routing and improve service delivery. Additionally, the role requires proactive communication with customers to understand and anticipate their portable toilet service requirements, helping to strategically plan solutions that address both current and future needs. The company offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.56 to $25.06, reflecting factors such as geographic location, experience, and certifications. Full-time employees working an average of 30 or more hours weekly are eligible for an extensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and a 401(k) with employer match. At United Site Services, equal opportunity employment is a core value, ensuring a fair and inclusive workplace free from discrimination based on legally protected characteristics.
