Job Description
The role of the Service Technician at United Site Services is crucial as it directly supports the core operations of the company. This position involves operating a company service truck to service, pump, and clean portable restrooms and holding tanks at various locations. The Service Technician is integral to delivering consistent, high-quality service that meets USS’s exacting standards and ensures customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include driving in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and USS safety regulations, executing a standard 8-point service process on portable toilets, and providing professional customer interactions on-site. This role demands physical endurance involving sitting, standing, lifting heavy loads up to 150 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and walking for extended periods. Flexibility is essential as routes may change to meet customer needs efficiently. The Service Technician also collaborates with operations supervisors to optimize routing and service delivery. Compensation for this role ranges from $20.42 to $27.57 per hour, reflecting the geographic location, experience, and other relevant factors. Full-time employees working an average of 30 or more hours per week are eligible for a broad benefits package, including medical, dental, vision coverage, and retirement savings plans. Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years of commercial driving experience
- valid driver license (CDL or non-commercial)
- excellent time management, customer service and communication skills
- strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Job Duties
- Perform basic service truck driving functions in accordance with USS and DOT requirements
- perform all work duties safely to prevent accidents and injuries following USS and DOT safety standards
- execute portable toilets servicing to meet USS 8 point service standards
- interact with customers on work sites to ensure satisfaction and service quality
- adjust and be flexible with routes to meet changing customer needs
- provide routing feedback to Operations Manager, Supervisor, or Coordinator to enhance efficiency and service delivery
- strategically plan for customer needs to ensure current and future requirements are satisfied
