With a robust reputation built on industry leadership, USS is dedicated to creating strong partnerships that facilitate the success of our customers' projects and events. Our deep-rooted industry expertise enables us to deliver excellence in process management, ensuring every service meets the highest standards. Additionally, USS emphasizes corporate responsibility through tangible, best-practice programs that benefit our clients, communities, and employees alike.
Our diverse team is the cornerstone of our achievements, encompassing skilled field technicians, dedicated customer care representatives, proactive sales professionals, and knowledgeable functional experts. Each team member plays a vital role in guaranteeing a dependable and seamless experience for our customers. By joining United Site Services, employees become part of a culture that champions continuous improvement, teamwork, and exceptional quality in every business aspect.
The role of the Service Technician at USS is fundamental to the company's operations and success. This position involves operating a company service truck and traveling to various work sites to service, pump, and clean portable restrooms and holding tanks. The Service Technician is the heartbeat of the business, ensuring hygienic, reliable, and timely service that reflects our strict 8-point service standard for portable toilets.
This role demands a hands-on approach, combining vehicle operation with physical tasks such as lifting, kneeling, crouching, and standing, often involving handling weights between 50 and 150 pounds. Safety is paramount; technicians are expected to perform their duties in full compliance with USS and Department of Transportation (DOT) safety standards to maintain a safe work environment with no accidents or injuries.
A key component of the Service Technician’s responsibilities includes engaging directly with customers at work sites. Providing excellent customer service by confirming that services meet or exceed customer expectations is crucial. Flexibility and adaptability are critical traits, as technicians must adjust routes or schedules to meet dynamic customer demands efficiently. Additionally, the technician is expected to provide valuable feedback to operations managers and coordinators to optimize routing and service delivery continually. Strategic planning skills are also essential to assess and anticipate customer portable toilet needs, ensuring satisfaction of both current and future demands.
The compensation for this role ranges from $20.42 to $27.57 per hour, with pay determined based on geographic location, relevant skills, experience, education, and certifications. USS supports its employees with a competitive total compensation package that blends base pay with a comprehensive benefits program.
At USS, inclusivity and equal opportunity are core values. We adhere strictly to federal, state, and local laws that prohibit discrimination on any legally recognized basis. We value diversity among our employees and encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds. We also require candidates to comply with identification verification requirements for positions necessitating secure site access or domestic travel, aligning with federal guidelines.
Joining United Site Services as a Service Technician offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a company committed to safety, customer excellence, and continuous employee development. If you have the skills and dedication to contribute to our success while advancing your career in the site services industry, we welcome your application.
