The Route Sales Representative (RSR) position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of Flowers Bakeries Sales of SoCal, LLC. This full-time role comes with an annual compensation ranging from $70,000 to $85,000, comprised of a base hourly wage plus commission. The RSR is pivotal in ordering, sales, and delivery of fresh baked products, ensuring customers receive quality products with exceptional service. The role demands a neat, professional appearance and the ability to build and sustain strong relationships with customers. Responsibilities include daily vehicle inspections, maintaining precise records, reporting maintenance promptly, and completing required logs for drivers.
The position requires flexibility with workdays and schedules, beginning early mornings around 3:00 am, typically granting days off on Wednesdays and Sundays. The RSR plays a key role in boosting sales by expanding shelf space, creatively executing in-store promotions, and managing product shelf life through proper rotation. Success in this role hinges on leveraging data and marketing strategies to nurture customer relations and stimulate growth. Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years of age
- have had a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years
- must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card
- must have a valid state driver’s license and documented safe driving record
- must meet fleet insurance guidelines
- must adhere to federal, state, and local rules regarding operation of a CMV
- must execute the best practices of RSR training after 4-week company paid training
- must be able to push or pull up to 50 lbs regularly
- bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required
