Job Description

FritoLay is a leading manufacturer and distributor of snack foods, known for its iconic portfolio that includes Lay's, Doritos, Cheetos, Tostitos, Fritos, and many other popular brands. As a subsidiary of PepsiCo, FritoLay operates with a strong commitment to delivering quality products to consumers through an extensive network of local stores, gas stations, dollar stores, and large grocery outlets across the nation. The company values innovation, diversity, and community involvement, striving to maintain its position as a market leader in the snack food industry with a focus on growth and sustainability.

The Route Sales Representative role at FritoLay is pivotal to the company's success. This full-time position involves a combination of sales, delivery, and merchandising functions that ensure FritoLay's products are prominently displayed and readily available to customers. Representatives are responsible for driving a company truck to various retail locations throughout their assigned routes, unloading and stocking products, merchandising items to enhance visibility and sales, and fostering relationships with store managers to increase order volumes. The role requires a highly energetic and motivated individual who can work independently in a fast-paced, physical environment, often involving standing and moving for the entire shift.

Training is comprehensive, lasting four to six weeks, during which new hires learn the essentials of driving routes, selling techniques, and product knowledge from experienced team members. This training aims to equip representatives with the skills they need to succeed and grow within the company. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, employees have the opportunity to participate in national sales initiatives and promotional events that drive product demand and customer engagement.

FritoLay emphasizes career development, offering pathways to advance within the company or its parent company, PepsiCo. The role provides a structured schedule with designated days off, though it requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays due to the nature of the business operating around the clock. The company provides a supportive workplace culture where employees are encouraged to take pride in their contributions and grow their careers.

As a full-time team member, Route Sales Representatives are eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes health care coverage (medical, dental, and vision), retirement savings plans with company match, vacation time, paid holidays, and sick leave in compliance with state laws. FritoLay is committed to equal opportunity employment, considering all qualified applicants regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status. Furthermore, the company supports fair hiring practices, including consideration of applicants with criminal histories in accordance with applicable laws.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic, active setting and are passionate about delivering excellent customer service. The role is vital to FritoLay’s mission of getting their beloved snack foods into the hands of consumers while providing a foundation for a rewarding career in sales and distribution within a globally recognized organization.
