Bimbo Bakeries USA is the largest baking company in the world, known for delivering some of the most beloved bread and baked goods brands such as Arnold, Brownberry, Oroweat, Thomas', Sara Lee, Entenmann's, and Marinela. With a diverse workforce of over 20,000 associates operating in bakeries, sales centers, regional offices, and on sales routes across the nation, Bimbo Bakeries USA is committed to providing high-quality, fresh bakery products that bring joy and nourishment to consumers at every meal. The company prides itself on maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive work environment that values diversity, promotes associate development, and encourages every individual to be authentic while contributing to the company's success.
As a Route Sales Professional at Bimbo Bakeries USA, you will be an essential part of the company's direct-to-store delivery model, helping to ensure that bakery products are properly stocked, merchandised, and promoted at retail stores. This role offers competitive compensation including a weekly base pay of $1100, averaging between $55,000 and $85,000 annually, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans. The work schedule includes early morning shifts starting between 2-4 am from Wednesday through Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday off, providing a consistent routine for work-life balance.
The Route Sales Professional is responsible for driving the company's sales through effective merchandising, stock rotation, and deployment of incremental displays. This involves identifying new display opportunities and leveraging sales data to formulate store-specific sales strategies. The role is also highly customer-focused, entailing the development of strong relationships with store customers, following up on new sales opportunities, executing promotions, and introducing new products to maximize sales growth and shelf presence. Daily responsibilities include route settlement procedures, managing invoices and cash, maintaining inventory counts, and ensuring timely submission of required paperwork and documentation. The position requires safely operating the company route truck and completing Department of Transportation daily logs to comply with federal regulations.
Candidates for this position must be prepared to meet physical demands such as climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, and frequent reaching, alongside the mental agility to manage sales data and customer interactions. Experience in direct sales distribution (DSD) is preferred but not mandatory, and candidates must hold a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card, and obtain a chauffeur's license if applicable based on location. Fluency in English is essential to effectively communicate with customers, understand traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and accurately complete reports and records.
Joining Bimbo Bakeries USA means becoming part of an equal opportunity employer that is firmly committed to diversity and inclusion. The company welcomes qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. Associates are supported with reasonable accommodations to perform essential functions, reflecting the company’s dedication to fairness and respect in the workplace.
Overall, this career opportunity promises the chance to work with iconic brands within a growing global leader in the baking industry. The role blends independence and customer service expertise with the stability of a well-established company offering reliable compensation and benefits. If you are a motivated individual who enjoys engaging customer relationships and thrives in a dynamic retail environment, consider joining Bimbo Bakeries USA as a Route Sales Professional to help bring delicious baked goods to customers across the country with pride and passion.
