This full-time first shift position offers an exciting and rewarding career path with a competitive base pay starting at $298 weekly plus commission, leading to an impressive annual average salary range between $65,000 and $70,000. The role is designed for individuals committed to driving sales and building strong customer relationships while ensuring the excellent quality and presentation of Bimbo's products in retail environments. Typical working hours start early at 3 am, with Wednesdays and Sundays off, allowing for a balanced work schedule.

The Route Sales Professional plays a critical role in merchandising and stocking products, guaranteeing proper product rotation on shelves and displays, thereby maintaining freshness and quality that customers expect from the company's iconic brands. Responsibilities include driving sales by securing new display opportunities, setting up incremental displays, analyzing sales data to strategize store-level sales growth, and following up on new account opportunities. Additionally, you will introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space in existing and prospective accounts while conducting daily route settlement procedures to account for products, invoices, and cash accurately. Driving safety is paramount, as you are responsible for operating the company route truck while adhering to US Department of Transportation (DOT) daily log regulations.

Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
  • Successfully able to obtain Chauffer License if job location is in IN, MI, or TN
  • Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
  • 1-3 years of related experience in DSD preferred
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse, understand traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and complete reports consistent with DOT regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution (DSD) is preferred
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and understand highway traffic signs
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
  • Ability to safely operate company route truck in compliance with DOT regulations

Job Duties

  • Merchandise, stock, and ensure the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee the best quality and freshness
  • Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies
  • Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring the execution of promotions
  • Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers
  • Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products, invoices, and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
  • Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT (US Department of Transportation) daily logs
  • Submit other required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time
