The role of Route Sales Professional at Bimbo Bakeries USA is an exciting opportunity to be part of this renowned baking family. This position involves working directly in the field, managing product merchandising, sales, and customer relationships to maximize the reach and impact of the company's brands on store shelves. The role offers a competitive weekly base pay of $300 plus commission, with an annual average total compensation ranging from $60,000 to $85,000. The shift varies, accommodating flexible scheduling needs. The Route Sales Professional plays a crucial role in driving sales through securing new display spaces, managing product rotation to ensure freshness, and effectively introducing new products and services to both existing and potential customers. In addition to sales, the role requires managing daily route settlement procedures, safe operation of the company route truck, and timely submission of all required documentation. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for customer service, sales acumen, and the ability to work independently within a structured framework provided by one of the most trusted names in the baking industry. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
  • Successfully able to obtain chauffer license if job location is in IN MI TN
  • Ability to climb push pull bend stoop and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
  • 1-3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred
  • Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language to respond to official inquiries and to make entries on reports and records

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution (DSD) preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Ability to acquire and maintain DOT medical card
  • Ability to obtain chauffeur license if located in IN MI TN
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public understand highway traffic signs and respond to official inquiries
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Physical ability to climb push pull bend stoop and kneel for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Merchandise stock and ensure proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays
  • Drive sales by securing new display space setting up incremental displays and using sales data to inform store-level strategies
  • Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring execution of promotions
  • Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers
  • Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products invoices and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
  • Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT daily logs
  • Submit other required documentation paperwork and deposits on time
