Bimbo Bakeries USA is a leading bakery company known for producing some of the most beloved baked goods brands in the United States, including Arnold, Brownberry, Oroweat breads, Thomas' English muffins and bagels, and Sara Lee, Entenmann's, and Marinela cakes and donuts. The company prides itself on its extensive network of more than 20,000 associates who work across various bakeries, sales centers, corporate offices, and sales routes. These associates are driven to provide consumers with the freshest and highest-quality products for every meal throughout the day. Bimbo Bakeries USA has earned a reputation not only for the excellence of its products but also for fostering a supportive, safe, and inclusive work environment that values diversity, encourages professional growth, and embraces authenticity among its workforce.
This position is for a Route Sales Professional at Bimbo Bakeries USA, where you will be joining the largest baking company in the world, becoming part of a family of 20,000 associates nationwide. Bimbo offers competitive weekly base pay starting at $350 plus commission, with an annual average compensation ranging from $60,000 to $85,000. This is a full-time role with a stable schedule from 4:00 am to 1:00 pm, Wednesday through Sunday off, allowing for a balanced work-life routine. Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, and retirement plans are offered, supporting your well-being and future.
As a Route Sales Professional, your role is pivotal in ensuring that the freshest baked goods reach retail locations efficiently and in optimal condition. You will be responsible for merchandising, stocking, and rotating products on store shelves and displays to maintain peak freshness and quality. Driving sales is a key part of your duties, achieved by securing new display spaces, setting up additional product displays, and leveraging sales data to create impactful store-level strategies. Building strong customer relationships is essential, along with following up on new account opportunities and ensuring the flawless execution of promotions.
Additionally, the role involves introducing new products and services to maximize sales and shelf presence both within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers. Route settlement procedures must be completed daily, accounting for all products, invoices, and cash while maintaining accurate inventory counts. Operating the company route truck safely is critical, along with completing required Department of Transportation (DOT) daily logs. Timely submission of required documentation, paperwork, and deposits is also part of your responsibilities.
Bimbo Bakeries USA emphasizes safety, responsibility, and customer service in this role. You will be required to comply with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations, possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, acquire and maintain a DOT medical card, and if applicable, obtain a Chauffeur License for certain states such as Indiana, Michigan, and Tennessee. The physical demands include climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and frequent use of fingers, making this a physically active and engaging job.
Bimbo Bakeries USA values inclusion, diversity, and equal opportunity. The company ensures that reasonable accommodations are available to qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. This employer strictly adheres to equal employment opportunity laws, welcoming applicants and employees from all backgrounds without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, veteran status, or any other protected classification. Working at Bimbo Bakeries USA means you belong to a community that respects and celebrates diversity while encouraging each associate to be their authentic self and thrive professionally.
