The role of a Route Sales Professional at Bimbo Bakeries USA is a critical position responsible for delivering exceptional service and maintaining fruitful relationships with customers. This role involves merchandising, stocking, and rotating products on store shelves to guarantee the best quality and freshness for consumers. Route Sales Professionals actively drive sales growth by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to develop effective store-level strategies. They also follow up on new account opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and ensure promotions are executed successfully.
In addition to sales and merchandising responsibilities, Route Sales Professionals introduce new products and services to maximize sales opportunities within existing accounts and new customers. They handle daily route settlement procedures, managing invoices, cash, and inventories accurately. Safe operation and daily compliance with DOT regulations while driving the company route truck form an essential part of the job. The position offers a highly competitive salary with a $305 weekly base pay plus commissions, averaging an annual pay range between $50,000 and $60,000. It is a first-shift role starting at 3 am, with Wednesdays and Sundays off, making it suitable for individuals seeking a predictable work schedule.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
- Successfully able to obtain Chauffer License if job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee
- Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
- 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
- Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations, the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and understand highway traffic signs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
Job Duties
- Merchandise, stock, and ensure the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee the best quality and freshness
- Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies
- Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring the execution of promotions
- Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers
- Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products, invoices, and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
- Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT daily logs
- Submit other required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time
