The Roure Rider position at Bimbo Bakeries USA offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment focused on bringing iconic bakery products to retail locations. This role primarily involves merchandising, stocking, and maintaining product freshness on store shelves, as well as driving sales through the strategic placement of displays and promotional materials. As a Roure Rider, individuals will be responsible for building strong relationships with customers, managing inventory, and ensuring timely execution of sales strategies. The position offers a competitive weekly base pay of $383 plus commission, with an annual average salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000. It is a first-shift role with Wednesdays and Sundays off, which provides a balanced work schedule. Employees will operate company route trucks safely, complete Department of Transportation (DOT) daily logs, and perform settlement procedures to reconcile products, invoices, and cash. This role requires a blend of sales acumen, customer service skills, and operational efficiency to maximize shelf space and grow sales in existing and new accounts. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
- Successfully able to obtain Chauffeur License (If job location is in IN, MI, TN)
- Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
- 1-3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred
- Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations, the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records
Job Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Ability to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of related experience in Direct Sales Distribution (DSD) preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, frequent reaching, and fine finger use
- Familiarity with Department of Transportation regulations
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Job Duties
- Merchandise, stock, and ensure the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee the best quality and freshness
- Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies
- Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring the execution of promotions
- Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers
- Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products, invoices, and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
- Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT (US Department of Transportation) daily logs
- Submit other required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time
