The Route Relief Sales Representative position within the Sales Execution department of Community Coffee’s Coffee Service Division offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the customer service and sales team. This is an on-site role that requires daily travel between the company’s location and customer establishments to ensure uninterrupted service during the absence of regular route sales representatives. Reporting to either the Sales Manager or Sales Supervisor, the Route Relief Sales Representative is essential to maintaining product freshness, equipment service, and customer satisfaction. This role involves direct interaction with customers, delivering coffee products, equipment, and supplies, as well as soliciting additional purchases to drive sales growth.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Passing score on aptitude test in lieu of high school diploma
- 1 year of customer service or sales experience
- Route sales and cold calling experience preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license
- CDL may be required based on location
- Acceptable driving record
- DOT medical certification
- Successful completion of pre-employment physical
- COVID vaccination may be required depending on customer requirements for route access
- Internal experience with Community Coffee may fulfill experience requirement with approval
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of customer service or sales experience
- Route sales and cold calling experience in a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) environment preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Acceptable driving record
- DOT medical certification
- Successful completion of pre-employment physical
- Ability to build trust and communicate effectively
- Results-oriented with strong integrity

- Ability to collaborate and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to plan route relief schedules in advance
- Deliver products, equipment, and supplies to existing customers during assigned relief periods
- Solicit additional product purchases from current customers to drive sales
- Collect customer payments and manage daily route bank deposits
- Load and maintain accurate truck inventory for each customer visit
- Maintain product freshness and appropriate shelf presentation
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent service and support
