The role of Relief Route Driver is a dynamic and essential position within Cozzini Bros. As a relief driver, you will cover for the regular route drivers, learning and managing various delivery routes to ensure that customers receive timely and accurate services, regardless of staff absences or fluctuations in demand.

In this position, you will be responsible for loading and organizing delivery trucks based on invoices to maintain route accuracy and efficiency. You will deliver and exchange specialized cutlery products to national and local restaurants, food service providers, and grocery customers. The job also entails handling program delivery elements, including the sale of products such as can openers, collecting payments, and performing accurate daily cash reconciliations. Maintaining inventory for all accounts is critical, as you will replace worn knives and delivery boxes to uphold service quality.

Building and maintaining strong customer relationships will be a core part of your duties. Handling service issues promptly and professionally helps retain the trust and satisfaction of Cozzini Bros.' extensive customer base. Safety is a priority, so operating company vehicles must be done in full compliance with regulations, ensuring the wellbeing of yourself and others on the road.

Coordination of shipments to and from the sharpening center is another key responsibility that supports the company’s operational efficiency. Job Duties

  • Serve as a relief driver for regular route drivers, learning the specifics of various routes
  • Load and organize the truck by invoice to ensure route accuracy
  • Deliver and exchange cutlery to national and local restaurants, food service, and grocery customers
  • Handle program delivery and product sales, including can openers
  • Collect payments on invoices and ensure accurate daily cash reconciliation
  • Maintain correct inventory for all accounts, replacing worn knives and delivery boxes
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, addressing any service issues promptly
  • Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with all regulations
  • Report any customer requests to cancel service due to pricing or competition to your supervisor immediately
  • Coordinate shipments to and from the sharpening center as needed
