Job Description

Crystal Clean LLC is a nationally recognized leader in the environmental and waste services industry, committed to helping businesses maintain compliance, safety, and environmental responsibility. As a privately held company, Crystal Clean specializes in providing comprehensive waste management solutions across the United States. The company focuses on sustainable practices and environmentally friendly service options, ensuring that clients receive not only effective waste management but also expert guidance in meeting regulatory standards. Crystal Clean’s infrastructure and dedicated team support a range of industries, making the company a trusted partner in environmental stewardship and operational excellence.

The Route Sales & Service Representative (SSR) position at Crystal Clean offers a unique career opportunity that blends sales, hands-on technical service, and daily variety, all within a local route where representatives return home nightly. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive on customer engagement, enjoy being active on the road, and want to contribute positively to environmental health. In this position, SSRs will manage their own route, focusing on growing customer relationships by providing exceptional service and identifying opportunities to expand business. Equipped with a combination of sales acumen and operational skills, SSRs will perform essential services such as maintaining parts-washing equipment, collecting waste drums, and ensuring safe, compliant transport of materials.

Crystal Clean recognizes the importance of employee development and offers robust support including a sign-on bonus of up to $2,000, guaranteed pay of $1,350 per week during a six-month training period, and competitive average annual earnings ranging from $70,000 to over $85,000 after the first year through base pay plus commissions. Additional benefits include a comprehensive full benefits package with medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability (LTD), flexible spending accounts (FSAs), and an employee assistance program (EAP). The company promotes a culture grounded in safety, honesty, accountability, respect, inclusion, and excellence, providing employees a secure and supportive environment in which to build a rewarding career.

The SSR role demands a dynamic individual who excels both at building relationships and executing operational tasks. SSRs will be responsible for independently planning efficient routes to maximize service delivery while minimizing travel time. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount, as employees will regularly operate commercial motor vehicles and specialized handling equipment. The role also involves engaging customers to assess their needs, presenting services, securing new accounts, and maintaining compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.

This position requires physical stamina for lifting and maneuvering heavy materials, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to environmental and safety standards. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), and related certifications such as Med Card, Airbrake, and HAZMAT preferred. Customer-centered communication skills and a proactive approach to sales and service are vital to success. Crystal Clean's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion ensures a welcoming workplace where employees from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to thrive and contribute to the company's mission.

Joining Crystal Clean means embarking on a promising career path within a stable and expanding industry. Employees gain access to ongoing training, opportunities for advancement, and a company culture that invests in personal and professional growth. If you want a career that combines meaningful environmental impact with the financial rewards of sales and the satisfaction of delivering reliable service, consider Crystal Clean. Take the next step in your professional journey as a Route Sales & Service Representative and become part of a forward-thinking organization dedicated to making a difference in communities across the nation.
