Located in Atlanta, GA, this particular opportunity is for a Route Driver at the South Division retail shop. The role is critical as these drivers are considered the "face of Airgas," responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to a variety of local and regional business customers. The position involves using company-provided straight or box trucks to transport these cylinders, which requires considerable attention to safety and detail. Beyond just delivering, drivers are also responsible for loading, unloading, and collecting empty or rejected cylinders, playing a key part in the company's operational flow.

This is a full-time position that offers a comprehensive benefits package starting after just 30 days of employment. The role demands adherence to stringent safety standards such as SAFECOR and governmental regulations including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA. Drivers must maintain accurate delivery records, obtain customer signatures, and ensure all compliance requirements are met consistently. Additionally, this position may provide warehouse support and dock assistance when necessary. Candidates with prior experience in the gas, welding, and safety supply industries are preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, solid math capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively are essential to thriving in this role.
