Job Description
Breakthru Beverage Group is a leading distributor in the beer, wine, and spirits industry known for its commitment to excellence, customer service, and support of its employees. Operating in a fast-paced market environment, Breakthru Beverage Group prides itself on providing quality products and services to its retail customers while fostering a company culture that empowers associates and promotes growth. The company values safety, professionalism, and reliability, positioning itself as a top choice for careers within the beverage distribution sector. Their network spans multiple regions and prides itself on timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
The role of CDL Driver at Breakthru Beverage Group is a full-time position within their Market Operations department. This role is vital to the company’s supply chain, ensuring that pre-sold products such as wine, spirits, beer, and other beverages are safely transported and delivered to various customer accounts directly from the company’s distribution centers. The CDL Driver is the face of the company during delivery interactions, responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships by providing excellent service and addressing any customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Key highlights of this position include a consistent 4-day work week from Tuesday to Friday, a 6:00 AM start time, and the opportunity to be home every night with no overnight or long-haul trips. Compensation is competitive with a starting pay of $26.75 per hour and high potential for overtime pay, making this an attractive position for experienced CDL drivers seeking stability and growth within a respected company. Additionally, drivers benefit from working in an environment that prioritizes safety compliance with federal DOT regulations, vehicle maintenance, and operational excellence.
In this role, drivers must not only demonstrate superior driving skills but also the ability to manage delivery paperwork accurately, including invoices that must be signed upon delivery due to liquor laws, handle cash collections or payments from customers, record sales and delivery data daily, and perform basic upkeep and inspection of their delivery vehicles. Safety and cleanliness of their work environment and vehicle are key responsibilities, along with contributing to their team’s overall success by supporting company policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience operating a commercial vehicle with a valid Class A or B CDL license. Candidates should exhibit strong communication skills, professionalism, sound judgment, and a capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting. The role also requires physical stamina for regular lifting (45-65 lbs), bending, and squatting to handle deliveries efficiently. Bi-lingual skills are considered a plus but not required.
Breakthru Beverage Group champions equal opportunity employment and encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds. They provide reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities during the hiring process, reflecting the company’s inclusive approach. This position is an excellent fit for motivated CDL drivers seeking a rewarding career where they can grow and be part of a supportive, established company that values safety, customer service, and employee well-being.
