The Rounder assists in creating tasty meals according to daily production lists, ensuring finished products are fresh, appealing, and aligned with the co-op’s high standards. Working under Prepared Foods Management, this non-exempt, union position offers a starting wage of $19.06 per hour and involves collaborative teamwork across all City Market locations.

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food, particularly those interested in local food systems and helping to promote sustainable food practices. The Rounder helps maintain an organized kitchen environment through careful product rotation and labeling in storage and refrigeration areas. They support receiving and stocking new products and gather ingredients as needed from storage or other departments. Compliance with City Market’s operational, safety, and security procedures is fundamental to this position. As part of a dynamic team, the Rounder may be required to perform other related duties to ensure effective kitchen workflow.

Employees benefit from a rich workplace culture emphasizing inclusivity, wellness, and professional growth. In addition to competitive pay, the co-op provides numerous benefits including store discounts, free fitness classes, and an award-winning wellness program. Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage is available, along with paid volunteer time, paid time off, and a 401k plan with employer matching.
