The role of Rooms Manager at The Westin Buffalo is a dynamic leadership position that involves co-leading and supporting both the Front Desk and Housekeeping teams to ensure an outstanding guest experience from arrival through departure. This role requires managing daily operations in a fast-paced hotel environment, overseeing the cleanliness, inspection, and readiness of all guest rooms, as well as guiding front desk operations. Key responsibilities include hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of staff, maintaining supply inventories, monitoring expenses and payroll, conducting housekeeping inspections, and ensuring all reports and projects are completed on time. The Rooms Manager must possess strong organizational skills, a personable demeanor, and the capability to multitask efficiently.
This position offers a competitive salary range from $62,354 to $78,300 annually, plus an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Proficiency with computer applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel is essential. Physical demands of the role include frequent standing, walking, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Holding a valid driver's license is mandatory.

- Minimum three years of hotel operations experience including front desk and housekeeping
- Knowledge of cleaning utensils, dryers, washers, tools, fixtures, and cleaning solvents
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficient with Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Visual acuity sufficient to inspect room cleanliness
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Co-lead and manage a team of housekeepers and front desk associates, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management and evaluation
- Maintain an inventory of supplies
- order and distribute supplies and equipment
- Ensure that all reports, orders, and projects are completed daily and weekly as per deadline
- Monitor and control expenses and payroll, while ensuring proper staffing are in place
- Conduct housekeeping inspections and take corrective action as needed
- Drive a company vehicle as needed
- Perform other tasks assigned as per role responsibilities
