The Housekeeping role at The Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City is a full-time, non-management position focused on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in guest rooms and public areas. This role requires meticulous attention to detail as it involves entering the status of cleaned rooms, completing cleanliness checklists, and following strict procedures for room access and vacancy verification. The candidate will assist in supporting the management team by contributing to hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and motivating housekeeping staff, serving as a role model for the team. They will also be responsible for adhering to all company safety and security protocols, reporting any hazards or maintenance issues, and ensuring the safe handling and storage of materials.
This position emphasizes guest service excellence, requiring the ability to promptly respond to guest requests, interact professionally with both guests and team members, and anticipate the needs of guests, including those with disabilities. Physical demands of the job include moving and handling equipment and objects of various weights, standing or walking for extended periods, and performing activities such as bending, twisting, and reaching. The role also involves using computers and point of sale systems for data entry and communication, making computer literacy an important aspect.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- at least 1 year of related work experience
- ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance
- ability to push and pull loaded housekeeping carts over uneven surfaces
- ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods
- ability to perform physical movements such as bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- ability to enter and locate work-related information using computers or POS systems
- maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- follow company safety and security policies
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Enter status of rooms cleaned
