Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year experience in patient care or hospitality environment
- ability to obtain Texas Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of employment
- availability to work weekend shifts
- physical ability to perform duties including meal delivery and tray retrieval
- commitment to adhere to policies, guidelines, and procedures
- ability to maintain confidentiality and security standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least one year of restaurant or hotel wait staff experience
- one year of experience in patient care or hospitality environment
- knowledge of dietary guidelines and modified diets
- Texas Food Handlers Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- effective communication abilities
Job Duties
- Orient patients to room service offerings
- assist patients and guests with menu selection
- assemble, deliver, and serve meals and nourishments
- utilize knowledge of menu and modified diets to ensure compliance with prescribed diets, age-related needs, and patient conditions
- communicate effectively with nursing and nutrition staff to coordinate meal service
- prepare and deliver tube feedings
- retrieve trays, record food intake, and return trays to ware washing area
- inventory, assemble, and deliver supplies
- maintain sanitation of work area and equipment
- collect payment for guest trays
