JW Marriott is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as full-time Food and Beverage team members in a non-management substitute position located at 160 Central Park South, New York, NY. This role comes with an hourly pay range between $20.01 and $26.69 and includes eligibility for tips. The position requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and the capability to lift and move up to 25 pounds (10 kg). Prior to employment, candidates will participate in workplace safety training and certification to ensure a secure environment.

The Food and Beverage team member plays a vital role in delivering top-notch dining experiences, embodying the warm hospitality that JW Marriott is celebrated for. Your responsibilities involve greeting guests warmly, ensuring prompt and attentive service, managing accurate order entry through MICROS system, and providing thoughtful menu recommendations when requested. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • at least 1 year of related work experience
  • ability to move and lift up to 25 pounds
  • ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods
  • maintain a professional appearance with a clean uniform
  • successful completion of safety training and certification prior to employment

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and attend tables promptly
  • serve food and beverages and provide recommendations when necessary
  • share menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests
  • correctly and timely record transactions using MICROS system
  • approach guests to ensure satisfaction with each dish and beverage
  • clean tables, complete closing duties and restock dishes and supplies
