Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • must be able to stand and perform well-paced activities for up to 4 hours
  • ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally
  • proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machines, typewriters, multi-line phones, filing systems, fax machines, and copiers
  • must possess good listening and hearing skills
  • capable of handling frequent interruptions and changes in activity
  • knowledge of the hotel and local city attractions
  • must maintain professionalism and customer service focus at all times

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival
  • register guests into the computer system by verifying reservation, address, and credit information
  • promote the Guest Loyalty Program and provide recognition and benefits to all members
  • accept payments at registration and checkout
  • maintain a house bank, make deposits, and prepare accurate daily receipts reports
  • cash checks and exchange currency for guests
  • answer phone calls promptly
  • respond to and process requests such as late checkouts, room changes, lockouts, billing inquiries, and accommodation extensions
  • keep an activity log updated for proper follow-up
  • ensure guest satisfaction using empowerment certificates when appropriate
  • issue keys and control access to safety deposit boxes
  • post miscellaneous charges as requested
  • assist with handling mail, facsimiles, and provide guest information regarding hotel facilities and local attractions
  • book reservations for guests approaching the Front Desk
