Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- must be able to stand and perform well-paced activities for up to 4 hours
- ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally
- proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machines, typewriters, multi-line phones, filing systems, fax machines, and copiers
- must possess good listening and hearing skills
- capable of handling frequent interruptions and changes in activity
- knowledge of the hotel and local city attractions
- must maintain professionalism and customer service focus at all times
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- basic computer proficiency
- knowledge of basic computational skills
- familiarity with hotel services and local attractions
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues

- capacity to learn and utilize hotel software systems
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival
- register guests into the computer system by verifying reservation, address, and credit information
- promote the Guest Loyalty Program and provide recognition and benefits to all members
- accept payments at registration and checkout
- maintain a house bank, make deposits, and prepare accurate daily receipts reports
- cash checks and exchange currency for guests
- answer phone calls promptly
- respond to and process requests such as late checkouts, room changes, lockouts, billing inquiries, and accommodation extensions
- keep an activity log updated for proper follow-up
- ensure guest satisfaction using empowerment certificates when appropriate
- issue keys and control access to safety deposit boxes
- post miscellaneous charges as requested
- assist with handling mail, facsimiles, and provide guest information regarding hotel facilities and local attractions
- book reservations for guests approaching the Front Desk
