Located at One Dalton Street in Boston's prestigious Back Bay, Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street is a landmark of sophistication and style. As the third tallest building in Boston, the hotel offers 215 spacious guest rooms and suites with breathtaking floor-to-ceiling views of the city, Charles River, Boston Harbor, and beyond. The property includes a remarkable Wellness Floor featuring a five-star urban spa, multiple gourmet dining establishments such as One+One brunch venue and Trifecta restaurant known for its exquisite cocktails and New England cuisine, as well as over 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space, making it a premier destination for luxury travelers and events alike. Besides the hotel, One Dalton is home to 160 private luxury residences that embody the city’s artistic and architectural elegance.

The Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton is currently seeking a Room Service Manager to lead its in-room dining department. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the hotel’s dedication to delivering an exceptional guest experience around the clock. The Room Service Manager will oversee the selection, training, evaluation, and leadership of all employees in the Room Service Department, ensuring that cultural standards and operational excellence are consistently met. This role is pivotal in maintaining the highest quality standards in food and beverage delivery, working closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and the Executive Sous Chef to design menus and amenities that meet guest expectations at a premium level while managing labor costs, inventory, and expenses.

Responsibilities include being visible and engaged in daily operations, promoting positive public relations, handling guest requests and complaints professionally, and ensuring an elegantly appointed in-room dining service. Job Requirements

  • College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience
  • two to three years previous experience in management position in Food & Beverage
  • working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting
  • ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems
  • proficiency in English language including reading, writing and oral communication
  • must already be legally permitted to work in the United States
  • US work authorization is required unless candidate is currently in a managerial position at a Four Seasons location
  • visa sponsorship is not available

Job Duties

  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Hotel’s Room Service Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met: long-range strategic planning for outlet operation
  • be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts
  • describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for 24-hour a day in-room dining and in-room private bar services
  • work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Sous Chef to design effective menu and amenity options while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments
  • control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control
  • observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed
