MemorialCare fosters a culture that encourages professional development, collaboration, and accountability, ensuring each employee is empowered to reach their highest potential while delivering compassionate healthcare services.

The role of Room Service Host is a critical front-line position within MemorialCare’s food service operations, specifically within the kitchen department at the Laguna Hills location. This is a per diem, evening shift position offering a competitive pay rate of $23.00 per hour, designed for individuals who are committed to enhancing patient experiences through timely and accurate delivery of meals. The Room Service Host plays an essential role in ensuring that patients receive their meals directly at their bedside, conforming to dietary specifications and nutritional requirements prescribed by clinical staff. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with nursing and diet office personnel to manage meal tray production and delivery.

In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and precise distribution of meal trays and nourishment to patients in accordance with hospital procedures, ensuring compliance with patient confidentiality guidelines as stipulated by HIPAA. The host must be adept at assembling meal trays based on patients’ diet orders and restrictions, maintaining accurate records of productivity and quality standards, and replenishing nourishment stocks to meet patient needs efficiently. The role demands strong multitasking abilities, problem-solving skills for service recovery, and a positive demeanor to interact constructively with both clinical staff and patients. Being punctual, dependable, and adhering to the organization's policies and protocols are fundamental in maintaining a seamless operation within the hospital’s food service environment.

Moreover, MemorialCare offers an inclusive benefits package focused on health and wellness, recognizing the importance of supporting employees and their families. Benefits include high-quality health insurance plans, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities, highlighting MemorialCare's dedication to valuing and rewarding its workforce. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and healthcare, seeking flexible, rewarding work that contributes directly to patient satisfaction and care quality within a reputable health system.
