Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of food service or customer service experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Strong basic computer skills
  • Experience with CBORD system preferred
  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations including addition subtraction multiplication division and percentages

Job Duties

  • Communicate effectively timely and courteously with patients nursing and family members when obtaining meal choices to enter into CBORD system
  • Verify patient satisfaction identify meal service problems and assist patients on missed meal report for menu selections
  • Communicate with dietitian or dietetic technician when patient food beverage supplement intake is poor
  • Accurately enter and update all meal selections orders preferences and special food requests in CBORD system
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work environment including cleaning waste disposal equipment operation and inventory monitoring
  • Identify safety hazards in the department and act quickly to eliminate them
  • Deliver all patient nourishments snacks and tube feeding products
